Mason County Fire District 4 operates under the legislative authority of three fire commissioners, each elected to six-year overlapping terms. The Board of Fire Commissioners is responsible for establishing key policy, setting levies, developing and adopting the annual budget, reviewing and approving contracts, and appointing a fire chief.
The Board of Mason County Fire District 4 Commissioners meet twice per month. The schedule for the regular commissioner meetings is as follows: The first Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. and the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.. Regular meetings take place in at the District’s headquarters located at 2970 SE Arcadia Rd Shelton WA 98584.
