WILDFIRE SAFETY
Following the steps outlined above and ensuring that you surround your home with "defensible space" can help protect you during a wildfire and prevent or reduce property damage. Some wildfires can't be prevented, but by practicing outdoor fire safety you can help prevent wildfires before they ignite.
What is defensible space? Defensible space is an area around a building in which vegetation, debris, and other types of combustible fuels have been treated, cleared, or reduced to slow the spread of fire to and from the building.
